We have another lovely wedding to share with you this month, featuring our very own Molly, the barn owl ring bearer! And she wasn’t the only one taking flight on this gorgeous day…
On Monday 28th August 2017, we got Molly all prepared and safely into her box ready to depart for the Branston Golf and Country Club, Burton-on-Trent. Wee were booked to attend the wedding of Stephen Barker and Donna Fowkes and it was looking like it was going to be a wonderful day.
Branston Golf and Country Club can cater for wedding celebrations ranging from just 50 guests, up to 250 guests and can tailor packages to suit your specific requirements and budget. The Branston Pavilion and Chatsworth suites offer magnificent views through french windows overlooking the golf course, and with their wedding packages you also enjoy exclusive use of the private garden room.
Stephen and Donna had planned to have their wedding ceremony outside in the beautiful parkland grounds and luckily the weather was perfect for this!
At the point in the ceremony at which the rings were required, Molly flew gracefully down the aisle and presented Stephen himself with the all important symbols of marriage.
Afterwards, we stayed for photographs with the happy couple and then Molly was showered with attention (as always!) by Stephen and Donna’s family and friends. Even the little ones were keen to hold Molly and she behaved impeccably – of course we would expect nothing less!
It was at this point that Stephen revealed a surprise for his new wife … a helicopter ride before heading in for their wedding breakfast. It was all very exciting for everyone there, as well as Donna! The helicopter flew in really low over us, and just in case she was scared of it, Molly had been put away in her travel box beforehand thanks to a bit of pre-warning!
It really was a lovely, relaxed, fun wedding and the staff at Branston Golf and Country Club couldn’t have been more helpful. Stephen and Donna, we wish you all the very best for your lives together.
