Well, we are now less than a week away from Christmas 2017 and we couldn’t be more excited about the festive season. Spending time with loved ones, cosy fires and of course the mountains of food that is undoubtedly going to be consumed! But first, we wanted to share with you one last wedding for this year.
On Saturday 2nd December we set off for Cheshire and the wedding of Nick and Andrea. Their owl themed wedding was taking place at Mottram Hall which is a Q Hotel in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Mottram Hall is an elegant 18th Century Georgian Country House Hotel, set in 270 acres of beautiful Cheshire Countryside and was decorated beautifully with themed Christmas Trees throughout which made it feel really magical.
David the best man received Molly with the rings perfectly, in the stunning ceremony room. The decor was divine and had a beautiful ethereal feel about it.
They had an Alice in Wonderland tree and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party table, Harry Potter tree which Nick and Andrea stood in front of for their photographs with Molly, although she wasn’t too sure about it at first as it actually moved!!
There was also a Muppet’s Christmas Carol tree and around the Reception were Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog), Emily Cratchit (Miss Piggy) and Tiny Tim Cratchit, also The Great Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat and last but not least a Narnia Tree.
Their fabulous cake had owls as the cake toppers and it was a tree trunk with a heart carved in it with their initials. The staff were all brilliant and most accommodating in helping us hide away.
Unfortunately, it was a wet day and we couldn’t go outside so they sorted us out a space inside so that guests could come and meet and hold Molly. It really was the perfect winter wedding and we came away feeling very festive!
Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness together Nick and Andrea, we loved being a part of your owl themed wedding.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. See you in 2018!
