Well February has bought with it a strange mix of weather so far, from the beautiful sunshine at the wedding of Gemma and Chris we’re featuring this month, to the 90mph winds bought by Storm Doris last week. We actually took Molly out of her aviary while the storm was whipping up and put her in her travel box in the garage. Thankfully everything here was okay once the storm had died down, and all our aviaries remained standing.
So in the calm before the storm, we headed down to the wonderful Hare & Hounds Hotel in Westonbirt, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, for the wedding of Gemma and Chris on Friday 17th February.
The Hare and Hounds is a gorgeous, traditional country hotel, right in the heart of the Cotswolds. The setting is just magical. With its hidden pathways, secret archways and an array of wild flowers around beautifully manicured lawns. It really is a lovely venue and we had a wonderful time there with Molly for Gemma and Chris’s big day.
The ceremony began and when the time came, Molly flew the rings to the best man Mike. He was so relaxed about the whole thing, we think this picture captured a real moment just as Molly lands on Mike’s outstretched arm whilst the other is casually tucked into his pocket!
It was a truly lovely day, the sun most definitely had its hat on and came out so that the wedding party were able to have photographs in the fabulous grounds. Gemma very kindly sent us some lovely photographs. We particularly love this one of Molly sitting next to the bouquet.
Their guests were all very interested in Molly and thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and having the chance to hold her. The hotel staff were also extremely helpful which makes such a difference, we would definitely enjoy the opportunity to visit the Hare and Hounds again!
Gemma and Chris, you were wonderful and we loved being a part of your wedding. Thank you for having us! Wishing you all the very best for your future together as man and wife.
