Firstly, let us wish you a belated Happy New Year! As i’m sure it is for most of you – the start of a new year is filled with all sorts of sorting, planning and preparing for the coming year ahead so we have been a little busy up until now. However, we wanted to take a look back at a lovely wedding we attended with Molly the owl ring bearer back in November of 2017.
The wedding of Jason and Dale took place on Tuesday 7th November 2017 at The Ashes Barns Wedding Venue in Endon, Staffordshire.
The Ashes is an exclusive use venue which means the entire venue is exclusively yours from 10.30am on the day of your wedding. The fifty acre estate rests at the foothills of the Peak District National Park, within the borders of Staffordshire in the West Midlands.
The approach along the mile long, tree-lined, private driveway through golden fields of corn and lush grassland and over a 17th century stone bridge, really sets the scene – and you begin to appreciate the charm of this stunning countryside wedding venue.
The venue features a lake, a flagstone platform overlooking the majestic pond, formal lawns, landscaped borders, an intimate stone courtyard and a Grade II* Listed Manor House as backdrops for your wedding photographs.
We had flown Molly there before and it is a fabulous venue with amazing scenery. We were very much looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, it was raining for Jason and Dale’s wedding, but that certainly didn’t dampen things at all!
Some of their guests arrived in a red double decker bus. The barns were beautifully decorated, with some of the wooden decorations having been made by Jason himself. Particularly loved their tree trunk themed cake as well which had their initials and the date of the wedding in a heart carved on it!
Molly had some lovely photographs taken with Jason and Dale’s family, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with all of their guests about Molly afterwards, whilst they had the chance to meet and hold her.
We must also say a special thanks to Dawn, the Wedding Events Manager, who made everything run so smoothly and was so friendly and helpful.
We wish you all the very best for your future together as husband and wife and thank you for inviting us to be a part of your wonderful day.
