Well hello and happy new year to you all! Hopefully all of our clients, past, present and future had a wonderful festive break and are now full steam ahead into all the delightful things 2019 has to offer. Molly, our beloved owl ring bearer is well rested and looking forward to the weddings already booked in for this year. If this is the year you’re getting married and are interested in having our beautiful barn owl deliver the rings to you at the end of the aisle, we’d love to hear from you. You can find our contact details here.
For our first blog post of 2019, we wanted to share with you our last wedding of 2018, and a beautiful one it was at that. Friday 14th December 2018, saw us arriving at The West Mill, a stunning riverside wedding venue in Darley Abbey Mills, Derby, for the wedding of Jo and Dan. The West Mill is a fabulous exclusive use wedding venue. The Grade 1 listed building is split over four floors with views of the River Derwent and was originally built as a cotton spinning mill in the 1800’s.
Molly was booked to deliver the rings at the wedding ceremony and it was Andy – Jo’s Dad, who was receiving Molly with the rings. We had a quick run through with him beforehand, which worked a treat as he and Molly performed beautifully.
After the ceremony instead of confetti, paper aeroplanes were thrown; what a unique idea!! Then it was photographs with the happy couple before introducing Molly to all of Jo and Dan’s guests. Molly – the consummate professional, was posing perfectly as always!
Anna, the Wedding Planner at The West Mill was most helpful, and in the run up to Molly’s appearance we were able to hide out on the floor below the ceremony room, where the wedding breakfast would later be taking place.
Many congratulations Jo and Dan, we wish you every happiness for your future life together.
