We are incredibly lucky to see a wide range of different wedding days and styles, but this month we are very excited to share with you something that was different even for us! A hand fasting ceremony, taking place on 31st October 2018 – Halloween.
Victoria and Nicholas had asked Molly our barn owl ring bearer to attend their wedding at the amazing Arnos Vale which is in fact a working cemetery but which also offers a variety of spaces licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships. We would actually like to take this chance to thank Buffy Jones who is the Wedding Coordinator at Arnos Vale, she was truly wonderful before and on the day making sure everyone was happy and that everything ran smoothly.
Victoria and Nicholas chose to host their hand fasting ceremony in The Underwood Centre, a beautiful woodland venue surrounded by tranquil beauty and set in 45 acres of forest.
Molly was delivering the rings for Victoria and Nicholas’s ceremony. And as you will see from the photos they were in costume, along with most of their guests. As well as Molly, Victoria and Nicholas had three Wedding Wolves (British Lupine Dogs) from Watermill Wolves, who preceded Victoria up the aisle. They were absolutely gorgeous and so well behaved, great job Natalie Nagstrom, Head Trainer! I think Molly may have been a bit star struck, as they have starred in Penny Dreadful, Vikings, Vogue, Marie Claire and promotions for Twilight and even Game of Thrones!
Nicholas’s Groomsman, Red, did a magnificent job of receiving Molly with the rings. After the ceremony, as usual, there were the official photographs with Molly and then the guests had their chance to meet and have their photographs taken with her. It definitely was a Halloween we will never forget.
We were so happy to have been a part of your wonderful ceremony Victoria and Nicholas, and we wish you both every happiness for the future.
