An Extraordinary Autumn Affair

Adam & Elaine2 Owl Ring Bearer

We are so lucky to be a part of the wedding industry. Each and every occasion we take Molly the ring owl bearer to is such a delight. We get to see couples on the happiest day of their lives and it’s an honour to be a part of it. It also allows us to see a huge variety of weddings and styles and this month’s wedding feature was a fabulous autumn affair!

On Saturday 28th October 2017 we travelled down to Lyde Court in Hereford, for the wedding of Adam and Elaine.

Lyde Court is an incredibly historic and romantic venue. Dating back to the 14th Century, the venue is part of the vast Duchy of Cornwall Estate. Weddings take place in 17th Century Stone Barns, which are situated next to the main house and gardens.

The barns have undergone minimal changes in 400 years and are completely unspoilt. The stone walls, vaulted ceilings, elm beams and arrow slit windows create such a wonderful feel to the venue.

As it was just a few days before Halloween the barns were decorated with pumpkins and candles – the atmosphere was fabulous.¬†The theme for the wedding was ‘Steam Punk’ and ‘Goth’ so there were a variety of outfits which all added to the incredible atmosphere of the day. The bride and groom had also embraced the theme. The¬†wonderful autumn colours in Elaine’s bouquet and floral crown were particularly amazing. So striking.

At the appropriate time in the ceremony, Molly flew the wedding rings directly to Adam at the end of the aisle. Adam received Molly perfectly and we were (as always) incredibly proud of her performance.

After the ceremony, we mingled with guests and gave everyone who was eager to, a chance to meet Molly up close and personally. Adam and Elaine had also arranged for their guests to enjoy a spot of Archery too, it really was a lovely afternoon.

Adam and Elaine, we wish you all the love and happiness for your future together as husband and wife and thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day!
