A Wonderful Winter Wedding

Happy New Year everyone! We had a lovely Christmas, hope you all did too. We have rocketed into 2017 without a breath it seems, with big birthday celebrations and house renovations, we’ve had a very exciting start to the new year! There’s always a certain someone at the centre of everything however – Molly the barn owl ring bearer, and she doesn’t like to be still for too long. She was back at work for her first booking of the year on Friday 6th January at the stunning Dodmoor House Wedding Venue in Northamptonshire, for the wedding of Stuart and Maxine.

Dodmoor House is a family run, Grade II listed, converted barn. A wonderfully romantic wedding venue set in four acres of stunning landscaped grounds and surrounded by countryside views.

Maxine’s Dad, Trevor, had booked Molly to deliver the rings, and Sam – Stuart’s Best Man, did a perfect job of receiving Molly. It was a late wedding with the ceremony being held at 3.30pm, therefore, by the time they were married it was dark outside. This limited the opportunity for outdoor photographs, so once the chairs were cleared away, the guests were able to meet and photograph Molly in the ceremony room.

Everyone was really keen to hold Molly and find out more about her, and once again she was a true star!  The next day we had a lovely email from Trevor;

Many thanks for yesterday. Everybody fell in love with Molly, she helped to make the day. Thanks again. Trev

It was a wonderful winter wedding and it was our pleasure to be part of it. Stuart and Maxine, we wish you all the very best for your lives together and thank you for making the first wedding of the year for us such a lovely one!
