Somerset Wedding with a Scottish Twist

Well ladies and gentlemen, we’re on Molly the owl ring bearer’s last blog post of the year. It’s almost unbelievable how quickly 2016 has flown by. We are now just a week away from Christmas and before we know it, we’ll be tripping into 2017 and wondering how best to discard the extra padding we’ve added over the festive season!

But before all of that… let’s celebrate one of our last weddings of 2016. The wedding of the lovely Lucy and Ewen.

On Saturday 19th November 2016 we travelled down to the beautiful West Country and settled in Beckington, Frome – Somerset. Lucy and Ewen were married at St George’s Church and entered the church accompanied by the fabulous sound of the bagpipes. Meanwhile, we hid in the porch way of the church to keep Molly’s attendance a real surprise for all of the family and friends who filled the pews.

When the time came, and the vows had been made, Molly flew the rings beautifully to Ewen’s best man. After the ceremony, the piper delighted us again by accompanying everyone out of the church, it really was very atmospheric.

We then went on to the reception, which was taking place at the stunning Orchardleigh House, just a few miles from the church.  It was here we set up for some photographs and up to this point the weather had been kind to us. However, just as we finished the photographs with the Bride and Groom the rain started, so we said our goodbyes and congratulations, wished Lucy and Ewen every happiness for the future and headed home, with Molly fast asleep in her travel box!  Once again she had behaved impeccably.

Thank you to all of our wonderful brides and grooms this year, you were all an absolute delight and we hope 2017 is filled with as much love and fun as your 2016 was!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Debbie, Steve and Molly x
