A Woodland Wedding

This summer we have been lucky enough to be a part of some beautiful weddings, but this week we wanted to tell you about the wedding of Joseph and Mary Ann, where Molly our owl ring bearer, delivered the wedding rings to Joe’s brother Dave.

Joseph and Mary Ann were married on Friday 15th July 2016, at The Woodlands. An enchanting woodland village, nestled among the trees on the edge of the grounds of Hothorpe Hall in Theddingworth, Leicestershire. It is a lovely outdoor setting, and one in which Molly felt right at home.

Unfortunately Joe and Mary Ann had a last minute panic, as their photographer was taken ill the day before the wedding. However, Lee Glasgow Photography stepped in to save the day and the photographs we have featured here, are his. If the rest of the wedding photos are as lovely as these, I’m sure neither bride nor groom were disappointed with the unexpected change!

Joe and Mary Ann had booked one of our ‘Wedding Day Packages’ which, as well as having Molly deliver the rings, includes a Static Falconry Display between the ceremony and wedding breakfast. This allows the guests, and of course the bride and groom, to have the chance to hold and have their photograph taken with our birds of prey. Some of their family had decorated the whole area and it looked truly wonderful.

We were made aware that Joe’s dad has a particular love of kestrels, so we made sure to take our kestrel Kurtis along… I think it is safe to say he was pleased to see him!

We loved being a part of your special day Mary Ann and Joesph, we wish you all the very best for your future together as Mr and Mrs. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your celebrations.
