Saturday the 7th March saw us in Leicestershire for the marriage of Claire and Neil. The sun was shining and the birds singing for this beautiful countryside wedding. Surrounded by friends and family who had travelled down from Scotland, Claire and Neil had the most beautiful day, which went without a hitch, apart from the wind causing a bit of havoc with a kilt or two! The ceremony took place in the stunning and traditional Prestwold Church.
Molly, The Owl Ring Bearer was a complete surprise for groom, Neil, who thought the rings were safely ensconced with his best man. Little did he know, she was waiting in the wings to swoop down and deliver the rings, with grace and style (like always). We do absolutely love Molly delivering the rings in such a majestic and grand setting, she somehow manages to make the moment seem that little bit more ethereal.
At this point we do have to say a big thank you to Prestwold Church and the Parish of Prestwold for allowing us into the church. Some churches do not allow owl ring bearers or you may need special permission, so it is always best to check with your place of marriage and us, before booking your own.
Molly, of course did not disappoint, in fact it turns out that Bride Claire had booked Molly as a surprise for Neil as he is a huge birds of prey enthusiast, and has owned his own in the past including a Barn Owl! Molly loved him even more for it, I’m sure! It was obvious during the photos that Neil is a natural around birds and completely enjoyed every minute of being so close to a bird of prey again.
The day was lovely and Molly received such a warm welcome by all of the guests, we can’t thank Claire and Neil enough for letting us witness their beautiful union and allowing Molly to be part of their day.
Congratulations Claire and Neil, we hope you are both enjoying married life together.
